I'm loving my a7 gear. It's finally (after 6 years) replacing m43 in my heart. BUT -- Sony I need an affordable, consumer grade telephoto with IS. The 55-210 isn't it because it lacks operative OSS on my a7. Reason: my spouse does not want to fiddle with gear (keep your shutter speed at 1/300!) and will not carry the FE70-200, so I am left keeping my GX7 and m43 telephotos. But, those might be able to go away if Sony could could either make an FE consumer grade telephoto, or update the SEL55-210 with OSS that works when attached to an a7 (I don't have the cash right now to get an a7ii Plus, while they are at it, they could improve the color and contrast a bit on the 55-210 Now that I write it out, maybe Sony doesn't care. Maybe their future direction is IBIS, which could allow them to build smaller lenses, though some of their most expensive ones have OSS, so I'm not convinced their bedrock will be IBIS, so much as it's a "nice to have" for legacy lenses. C'mon Sony. How about a 55-210 ii (even Canon updated their ancient 55-250).
