The first weekend of October arrived with a 24-degree drop in temperature from the day before, strong gusty winds, and the sun playing Hide & Seek all day. Seven miles through the forest on a gorgeous first Saturday of October leads to a lot of photos . . . many things seem to catch my eye. I had difficulty culling the batch to just those I thought would be most interesting. The first 6 were with a Minolta MD 28/2.8 on my NEX-6, the rest with an MD 50/1.4.

Thanks guys. I thought the scene in #14 was going to be special as soon as I saw the nut and shell laying on the ground.
