November Bee

    Less than a week until December and this guy was still kicking. I took advantage of his inactivity and snapped a few shots with the NEX-7 & Zony 24mm 1.8. All are heavily cropped with the "1:1" approaching 100%. Always amazed how much detail I get - especially in good light shooting a 100 ISO.

    Nice captures.

    My wife got stung by one of these at the pool a few years ago. Swelled up like crazy.

    No fun. He was "pumping" his stinger while I was shooting and didn't seem amused by the camera and it's holder.

    Yeah, nice captures!
    I like macro but for some strange reason, #1 is my favorite here :) The angle is better IMO and the leaf adds to the scene :)

    Woof! I think you not only captured excellent detail, you also captured the wasp "raging against the dying of the light."
