Not exactly a sandy beach

    Taken from the shores of the great salt lake - all the ground is salt. It was a cool place to visit.

    I'm glad to see this...had not thought about / heard about our Great Salt Lake in decades...has to be a unique place for sure

    My sister used to live in Draper, UT and her home was on the side of the foothills that overlooked the Great Salt Lake. It was a million dollar view. However, I was sorry to have never made it down to the actual lake. We chose to drive up into the mountains to Snowbird. Missed my chance to see it up close I think.

    Don't worry about missing the lake. I love it there, but very few do. Little Cottonwood Canyon (Snowbird and Alta) is one of the absolute best places on Earth.
