Some neat shots - impressive number of stars considering you are in an urban environment.

Pretty nifty stuff. Great job of not blowing the highlights. I'm with David- please share exposure info. :)

Awesome captures. I'd also like to know what settings you used.

Hey thanks everyone for the awesome comments :) Yeah the environment is certainly urban ( a residential area in New Zealands' third largest city ) but there is certainly plenty to see. The air is really clear and it was a very cold ( zero degree centrigrade ) night when these were taken )

Regarding exposure - well basically shot in RAW, F/2.8 ( wide open on the Samyang ), ISO 800 and exposed for about ten to fifteen seconds. I used a white balance adjustment in CS5 to kill off a lot of the sodium glare from the street lights and some tweaks to saturation, vibrance etc.

    Love the shots.
Let me think about trying this on my own...
I'm interested how image quality will looklike using my SEL16 + ECF1 converter.
Unfortunately our weather is mainly cloudy at the moment.
