    Hello -

I am still learning about the camera and its different features, but one feature I was looking for was the AEL lock. I believe the C3 doesn't allow the user to assign it to any button. Am I right? If so, does half-press do the trick?

    Thanks!

I use a NEX 3,..I don't have a C3, However, it does work as you have dexcribed,...when the shutter putton is half depressed the exposure is effectively locked/maintained regardless of where you move the camera too. If you press/hold the button with shadow area in screen and then turn th ecamera skywards the same exposure is still on the screen......

    ........Hope this helps!
