Why does my nex 7 sound like it's taking multiple photos when I press the shutter? I have bought a new lens and went to try it out and just noticed it, I have single shot on, it never did this before, one click and that was it

Or perhaps make sure creative shooting HDR painting isn't on.

Electronic devices can sometimes do odd things by themselves...another thing to verify is in the SHOOT MODE menu, make sure it's not set to Anti Motion Blur

Tried straight from my Mac, gave me an error code but maybe my battery wasn't fully charged, can it be done from the memory card?
Also what improvements are with the upgrade?

Are you using the short USB cable that came with the camera? Sometimes longer cables will cause signal loss.
