DPReview have posted their, generally very positive, review of the NEX-7
Great review by the DPR folks. Probably the single biggest annoyance I have with current NEX cameras is that Auto ISO never goes high enough. I have Auto ISO up to 3200 on my E-P3. If I had an NEX 7, I'd let it Auto ISO up to ISO 6400, perhaps even higher. Makes no sense that they limit it to ISO 1600.
I can see that as the default. Afterall it looks like the native sensitivity of the sensor is ~1100 ISO and the pixel level quality seems to drop pretty quickly at 1600 but I do agree. I would like the ability to make that decision myself.
Not totally related but some of the Pentax DSLR had an ISO priority mode that worked like A or T modes. Since the mode dial is virtual on the NEX-7 it would be cool if Sony added that. Although there are other nit-picky things Sony should address first.
