peaking function makes manual focusing insanely fast and accurate

Nice, I want one of these lenses but it doesn't really fit easily in my collection yet. Already have two 50mm lenses (zeiss m mount and nikon) and need a wide-angle first!

Really nice shots Jin, I'm impressed on how effectively you are using this lens, I used to have a copy in the past and I couldn't use it as effectively as you have (I guess the lens was too much for me :p ), I'll be on the look out for your images :)

Thanks mate, I'll post some photos when I can. You can try Mainline Photo as they are taking orders for February delivery (it can't be helped, it's quite rare) and I'm sure they post items overseas. Try dropping them an email to enquire, or hopefully it will be available in your area soon.

Nice lighting and sweet soft rendering there! But well, with my budget (which was completely eaten by the 24mm Zeiss) I'll have to buy the Sony one ...

Poki: well u could technically get rid of ur 16mm and 18-55mm and get the 50mm 1.1 lol
basically its just me cuz i only like prime lenses lol

Thanks for the tip. I kinda like the 16mm for partyshots and situations I dont want to bring expensive gear. As for the zoom: I don't think I'll get a fair amount of money for it as it's part of most NEX-kits, so I keep it as a video lens. But maybe I'll think about that. :)
