Thought maybe there should be a Nex-7 image thread along the lines of the A7ii thread.
    What do you think?

Made a really quick video of my A7ii shutter firing using my Nex-7 w/FE 2/28.

I really like this digital stuff. So much instant gratification, know what I mean?

I guess I should have asked that you tell us which lens you're using.

    Or maybe not...

I really think the NEX 7 is a classic. It doesn't have the newest anything, it's got the quirky chiclet UI of the NEX cameras but it just feels right in the hand, everything is where I want to to be control-wise and it works great as a back for my Nikkors. I really can't ask for more.

The fact that they're so good with my Canon FD lenses sold me on them...and the longer I've had / used the NEX7 model, the more I've figured out how to get better results.

I'm finding I use mine as my go-to point 'n shoot when I have the FE28 on it. Here's a quick up date on the Amaryllis. Looks like we'll have blooms for Easter after all.

Hard wire remote trigger for the NEX-7

One of the things I occasionally like to do in pursuit of nature / wildlife photo-ops is to set up on a tripod, pre-focused on a particular situation and use a remote trigger from a less obvious position behind the NEX7.
The obvious short-coming of the NEX7 is that the IR sensor is on the front of the camera.

As a work-around, I've built a shiny reflector that I mount on the half-case so it sits facing back towards me from in front of the camera's IR sensor...and it works well...but it's operational distance is limited to the strength of the IR beam from the Sony Remote Commander.

Does anyone know if some 'hard wire remote trigger cable' has come out for the NEX7 model?
Or even a combination hard wire cable to an IR triggering device that can be placed on the NEX7 similar to my reflector idea?

    Would a mirror work better?

Knew it was too early but had to get out so I went to a local Arboretum.
Not the best light, only saw a couple things...here's a Magnolia Tree Blossom opening up. Canon FD70-150/4.5, NEX7

This has got to be one of the shortest Amaryllis plants I've ever seen bloom.

Guess it was just too crowded up at the top for it so it went low.
