So, I just got the RMT-DSLR2 and am having a h**l of a time trying to get it to work with my NEX-6. I can get the arrow buttons to scroll through existing pictures, but I cannot get the shutter buttons on the remote to work.

Has anyone experienced this? Not sure why this might be happening...

Did you put the camera drive mode in remote?

It's an easy thing to forget. Since I do 90% of my work off a tripod I just leave mine in remote. One less thing to remember/worry about. Does eat battery life though, since the LCD is on all the time. ;)

I am finding that I am missing pretty straightforward things on my new NEX. I think I need to spend more time with it to help figure out where settings are; it is definitely not my favorite interface ;-)

You will, eventually, determine a scheme that works for you. Everybody goes through it. It's like a rite of passage with NEX cameras. :p

Indeed. My scheme consisted of bashing my head repeatedly with a ball-peen hammer. Every time I stopped, the NEX interface seems almost a pleasure in comparison.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one with those knots!
I got so used to the Sony Alpha interface that it was almost instinctual to use. I have also become very accustomed to the Fuji X-Series, but the NEX is a constant struggle for me... :-(
Really the interface is the only thing I don't like about the NEX.
