Beautiful pics, as always, Freddy. We expect nothing but the best from you :)

Think my favorite is the second one. The first one of the Chrysler Building. Sunset and HDR?

Hey Freddie,

Super results again from the kit lens selection, something for everyone here, for me, pic 12, I think it's the colours and patterns that draws my eye to that particular photo. Oh and the fact that I love bridges..

Right I'm off to see my Gran, the. Hopefully to collect a lens I won on eBay (Olympus OM zuiko auto-w 28mm f2.0) for £18.50. WOOHOO!????

thanks friend, if you use HDR in that photo, I wanted to experience the result, but I think it went very well, I had to use Lr to improve a bit ..

thanks mate, glad you liked my photos, of course I was looking like the Olympus OM Zuiko MC Auto-S 50mm f1.8, but I have been lucky, but soon win any auction and congratulations on your new acquisition.

Hi Freddytto,Beautiful photos, I really love the colours of the night-time ones. Paul

Hard to pick a favorite here. Very nicely done. :)

Wow! I'm speechless. Great shots.

Some quite nice shots, some very worthy of publication.

Stunning photo’s. I like them all. I really admire how you capture the Big Apple. Thanx for sharing these with us.

Hi Freddytto,
Great photos! Nice colors! Thanks for sharing.

thanks guys for the comments, I'll tell you more about that night, I have a fear of heights, and in fact just stand in front of the building (as in the first photo), counted the minutes and the nerves were killing me, uncertainty to see with my own eyes the panoramic view of new York, something that we only saw in the pictures of the web, but I decide to take the challenge, reaching the 80th floor, after a slight jolt in the elevator, I do not seem but if you had dramatic fear. when the end to the floor 86th, took a big breath of emotion so there I saw some great B&W photos about the history of the building, then i went up to the 86th floor and see the beautiful view was incredible.

There were many photographers with DSRL camera, you know coz it's a famous place, I felt a little intimidated accompanied with my little Nex5n, but I could talk with a mate, when he took a picture of us so was impressed with the quality of my little jewel, he had a nikon D300, and talked about the image quality and high performance in low light, and he saw my photos on the screen and said:

¡¡¡Wow damn This Camera is really good¡¡¡

I told him that I can shoot 10 fps and video quality is very good, also despite the price and size I think I chose a good camera. and he said I agree.

but now I love my nex5n :)

The eyes are the window of the soul, and your photos are what your eyes see. When I view your photos Freddy, yes I see New York... but I also see how you think, I see your patience and planning, how colours shapes and light forms affect you, motivates you... even compels you to face your fears. I am delighted because you unknowingly share this passion with us.

This is another thing I like about your work ethic. These photos are all wonderful - ALL done with kit lenses. Kit lenses don't hold your work back, but rather your work raises what's possible with kit lenses. Again, I applaud your humble approach and your passion to seek out extraordinary beauty in ordinary things.

Hey turns out that it is a 2.8, i made a mistake as it stated this on the eBay listing.. That aside really glad I went to collect it, met the seller, a nice chap with other lenses to sell (I'm waiting for an email from him listing what he has). Anyway this lens is in 'mint condition' original box and receipt of purchase (£89.00 in 1999) so really pleased!

Ps. I won the 50mm 1.8 on eBay 2 weeks ago, £17.12, its got dust & fungus according to the listing...

...I'll see what results I get with these lenses once the OM-NEX adaptor arrives!

Cheers

freddytto,
The passion for photography makes us challenge even fear itself as the height (which I also have!).
After all, we find the compensation, the beauty of the look recorded in photos.
Congratulations.
