Just guessing, the fact that it can be used on a Canon DSLR would mean that the EXIF data are transmitted to the camera, possibly also via an appropriate Canon EF->E-mount adapter. The lens is quite big and heavy and its front filter thread of 95mm (!) makes it even less attractive. It obviously has been designed for SLRs and thus doesn't make any use of the shorter flange distance of mirrorless cameras. Now that Zeiss and recently Voigtländer have come up with native E-mount lenses, offerings like these leave me cold, unless the price would be rock-bottom and I'm pretty sure it won't be.

Interesting site BTW, thanks for bringing this up, Nick!

Its an INSANE LARGE Filter mount 95mm!?!?
Lets see what Samyang holds with its new 14mm 2.8 and then there is the TINY Voigtländer 15mm 4.5 & 12mm 5.6 and even 10mm soon

The 12mm Zero-D does look very impressive!! If it's full frame, just may have to get one and sell my 14mm f/2.8 Rokinon/Samyang.

How is a 95mm filter diameter possible

Their lenses are sold in a variety of mounts, including Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony A and Sony E. They are currently working on a rectilinear, almost distortion-free ultra-wide angle lens for 24x36 cameras: the Laowa Zero-D 12mm f/2.8 (Zero-D symbolizing the absence of distortion). The main specifications of the prototype are the following:

    • Image circle: 24x36
    • Field of view: 121.96°
    • Optical formula: 16 elements, including 2 aspherical elements and 3 elements made of glass with anomalous dispersion, in 10 groups
    • Number of aperture blades: 7
    • Aperture range: f/2.8 - f/22
    • Manual focus
    • Minimum focusing distance: 0.18m
    • Maximum magnification: 0.2x
    • Maximum diameter: 74.8mm
    • Length: 82.2mm
    • Weight: circa 570g.

Oh sorry I thought it was the 12mm you were refering to and not the 15mm. May come from reading threads backwards, not to be recomended ;)
