I know some of you frequent the Photographers' Lounge and may already have seen these. But I scored a cheap Sony RX100 III on ebay last week (the previous owner had let her dog chew on it) and have been having a wonderful time playing with it. So I thought I'd share a few of the images I've managed to take so far.

I'll keep using my A7 for most of my "serious" photography. But this little pocket rocket is some serious fun, has "enough" IQ, and is more likely to come along when I walk out the door. And as you know, the best camera... ;)

Wow, that's pricey for a point and shoot, but the images are great.

Thanks Dave, but the thing is, it's not what I'd consider a "point and shoot," and I didn't pay the "pricey" price. :p

I don't mean it as a bad thing.

    Enjoy the camera.

Nice shots, and I see you risk your life to show us the beauty of a railway track :).

Yes. Nice shots indeed. I really would like an RX100III, but I can't justify paying more for my back-up camera than my primary (a6000). So for now it stays on the wish list.

Not to worry, Ad. The rail line has been shut down for several years now. There was a fire in one of the tunnels up in the mountains, and no money to fix it.

Of course, I could have twisted an ankle walking along the tracks. ;)

Great shots, would dearly love a rx100iii but can't justify it.
