Wanted to add a new hobby while I'm already outdoors fishing. And i like to cook. I went with the Nex-5r and I love this camera so far. Wanted to share some photo that I have taken. I have the 18-55 lens that came with the bundle. Picked up a 30mm macro lens. Wondering what the next lens I should image. image. image. image. image.

    Hello and welcome !!
I like your captures very much. Your post processing is way overdone for my taste, but that's only me, and doesn't take anything from the excellence of your shots :) Keep them coming :)

Agreed. As I am new to forums in general. Any pointer is appreciated.

If you like them, that's all that matters. I for one love over the top processing...stuff with loads of contrast and crazy deep colors. I think these are excellent. I too often find myself processing to meet what I think other people want to see and I loose sight of who I am as a photographer. I need to stop doing that and start shooting and processing for me, others be damned.

In fact, I'd be interested in your post processing routine if you don't mind sharing.

I think you've got it exactly right, Chad. If creating images isn't about pleasing our own eyes and coming up with an individual style, what's the point? It doesn't mean we can't appreciate different work. But photography by the numbers is deadly boring (to me).

I like the one with the Golden Gate bridge, processing and all. The skewed horizon also works for me, lending a dynamic feeling to the picture.
