Look what came in the mail today :)

This baby showed up from California so fast, that I'm still waiting in the adapter. All I can say now is, the FD breechblock mount is kinda weird. I couldn't figure it out at first, I thought the aperture blades had seized shut because nothing happened when I rotated the aperture ring. But now I have it figured out. Can't wait to try it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can wrest from it, Ed. I've been having some fun with mine. :)

Me too. Going to stroll around Hahvard in a few days and try it out. :)

I had the same problem with the breach lock mount! I thought I had 3 seized lenses!!! I took me a while, especially because 1 actually is seized...

Totally! I was looking on YouTube for tutorials to take apart the lens and try and fix it myself. Somehow, I flicked one of those levers near the mount and the aperture blades was able to close after that. Not the most intuitive mount for sure. Also, the lock ring is so close to the aperture ring that it'd seem I may unlock the lens if I'm not careful.

That aperture mechanism is weird indeed. I always take a Canon FD adapter with me to a fair just to check out if an FD lens is working properly.

Doesn't look too shabby :) the whole package is actually smaller than I thought.
