I'm using Lightroom 4 and am having a really hard time getting the color noise out of the picture and just have the star trails and some stars in the background highlighted, along with a semi-bright foreground. I have tried rearranging the Develop sliders in all different configurations with no good results. I also have Photoshop CS6 Extended if that will be better to use...but I am not familiar at all with it and would prefer LR4 to do this.

Anyone want to help me out or give it a try themselves and see how good you can get it? My attempt is not even worth linking.

Any help, tips, criticism, etc. would be much appreciated! I want to become an expert at night sky photography and this is my first attempt at a star trail since i just got my shutter release ($4) in yesterday.
