Playing around with a Canon FDn 50-135/3.5 on my NEX-7 and this bird suddenly appeared in the back yard.
Never saw it before, don’t know what it is.
Can’t find a match in my Audubon book…can’t find a match at Cornell Ornithology, etc.
I’ve had a couple of first thoughts but “the beak” seems to be a deal breaker.

Anybody “know” what this bird is?

FOUND IT USING GOOGLE IMAGES: FEMALE SUMMER TANAGER

    Very pretty.

I'm leaning towards some type of Tanager, but not certain.
