As you all know the island of Manhattan has many bridges. In fact, NYC is home to over 2000 bridges. That's not a typo. I set out on a bridge hunt about 2 months back with the goal of capturing the more famous bridges. However, that quest is quite an undertaking when photography is only a hobby and a small part of my life. So rather than wait until I am done in a 20 years, I wanted to share what I have so far.

These were shot with the A7 or A6000 and a variety of lenses.

Gary, what can I say but... wow! You've done some great work with NYC's bridges there! Ethereal.
And I didn't know there was a lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge. Cool.

    Thanks all.

    Thanks Add.

It's a challenge for a number of reasons. My time, access and timing. I almost got arrested for that GWB Sunrise for "entering" prior to the park opening and hopping the railing for the right angle. The cop was nice about it after he ran my license and I apologized. What we do for the shot... OH I should add, I hope it ends before 2035 too! ;)

Me and the Lady are planning a trip in Mid May to visit the City (she's never been). I'm excited to check out some of these locations ... any advice to an out-of-towner trying to get close to these bridges as you have in some of your shots?

Nice. If it's you and your lady I would say skip most of these. Not really vacation fun. You can visit The Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges from Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo area. Nice places to eat, hang out and shoot. If you want nice shots go to Top of the Rock or and 230 5th.

All. Thanks for the feature. Much appreciated. As much as we, "shoot for ourselves", it always feels good when others recognize your effort. At least it does to me. Thanks again.
