My new environment

Hi all!

I recently moved to another town. Today I had the first chance to go and explore my new environment - and my NEX-5 just didn't want to stay at home.

So here's my new neighborhood. Could be worse, couldn't it?

Yep, 17 km without humans - just a five minute walk away from me.

Nothing special. But there were soo many trees, I really wasn't able to find another subject for quite a while. ^^

On my way home. I kinda like the colors.

All pictures were taken with a NEX-5 with 18-55mm kit-lens. Post processed via Aperture 3.

We have some vistas that look similar here in the coastal mountain ranges of British Columbia and my family and I enjoy escaping to them whenever we can. What a lovely view to wake up to each day!

Well, of course here are small cities (actually more big villages) too, but many parts look nearly as beautiful as this one. In the end I think it's not worse than living in a city.

To be clear, I have a nice view on the city (if you call a supermarket and some houses a city) right from the balcony, then there are some houses above mine and then, some minutes on foot later, there's the green, silent area. You can even go horse-riding, if you're into this thing.

@adanac: Yep, that's really great! Way better than living in big cities - in my opinion.
