My current Sony kit - How's your current kit look like?

My current 2021 Sony kit has been modified and I'm pretty happy with this setup so far. Samyang has really stepped up with their prime lineup. In terms of budget, size and performance, their lenses can't be beat. Also the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 FE gets my vote as their best lens in the Sony line-up...I prefer it over both the 28-75mm and the 70-180mm f/2.8 lenses. Lastly, I keep around a budget Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX HSM that I adapt, not so much for it's sharpness, but because it's wide open performance is in-between a dreamy vintage lens, but with the advantages of a modern AF prime!

In terms of cost, my whole lens kit cost less than one really nice Sony GM lens! :D

Sony A9 + A7III
Samyang 18mm f/2.8 FE
Samyang 35mm f/1.8 FE
Samyang 85mm f/1.4 FE
Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 FE
Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX HSM + Nikon F to Sony E AF Adapter

Things got worse. One new zoom lens turned into two. This is how the jigsaw puzzle looks now...

ILCE-6000    E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS    16mm    f/4.0    1/60s    ISO 100

The Lowepro Event Messenger is a decent bag at low cost. That's my little Godox TT350S flash in the side pocket. Bonus: that fits too!

ILCE-6000    E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS    16mm    f/3.5    1/60s    ISO 100

It's definitely a mixed family of flaps and dividers.

Plenty of room for batteries and a few small things in that front flap. And my tablet slips in at the back

Here is how it all fits

Sony a6500 + Sigma 30/1.4
Sony 50/1.8 OSS -- Sony FE85/1.8 -- Tamron 17-70/2.8 -- Tamron 70-180/2.8

Left at home: Sigma 60/2.8. I'd actually just started making use of, and enjoying this lens. As it is 2.8, I'll cover that with the zoom.

That's it. I don't think I want anything else now. For a while. And it fits this bag.

Oh wait... I want the Sony 135 prime. I'd rather have a Tenba bag... but it wouldn't do anything this one doesn't do except cost much more.

As if logic and function were the driving force for GAS... :shakehead:

Looks like a nice kit. I also have a messenger bag about that size where I keep my camera and collection of primes. Well, one zoom. I like messenger bags over backpacks.

Hoping to upgrade the a6300 eventually and also add a Sony 100-400GM or 200-600 sometime next year (undecided which to get)

I have the same bag. It is very handy and it can carry a 70-200 and a tablet.

I have a 6300 for travel. It is a fine camera, and pound-for-pound, I believe it was Sony's best bang for the buck. I think that's why they replaced it so fast. Enjoy!

I have recently reduced my kit, It is still as pictured in my previous post, however I have now given my A6000 body plus the 16-50 & 55-210 kit lenses to my youngest daughter. She has been using a Canon SLR, but likes the compact size of the A6000.
