I recently had the opportunity to travel to Morocco and Spain. With my 5N, I took only the 24mm that I had recently bought. I'm not sure if I like the 24mm focal length but I will have to give it more time. Here are some photos anyway. If you click on the name of the city, it will take you to the complete set on Flickr. Wow! It's a shame you're not sure about the lens. Errr, I have a lovely kit lens I'm willing to trade for it.
Fantastic! Wonderful set of images. I'd love to visit Morocco and Spain together one day...Portugal as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to look at the sets, Nic. I would highly recommend both places. Traveling always seems to be a trade off. I wanted to experience both places. But I only had 20 days to work with. I had to cut down the number of cities I visited in order to find the sweet spot.
I spent five weeks this past summer in Portugal and Spain. Both were absolutely fantastic with different things to offer. Portugal though is cheaper, and Lisbon goes down as one of my all-time favourite cities!
Brilliant shots Yohan. The colours are stunning with a great 'pop' too them, but yet don't feel oversaturated. Really impressive. Two questions: 1) What polarizer did you use? (it looks like you had one for some of the shots with sky in them) 2) How did you take these? RAW + pp, or jpeg + pp?
Hi Joshua, I used a Hoya Circular Polarizer. It's the multicoated version. This was my first time with a polarizer and I had difficulties with different levels of blue in different areas of the sky. I actually didn't end up using it very much. RAW + PP (Lightroom) is generally my method. Usually I tweak one photo, save the settings as a preset, then apply the preset to photos taken in the same environment. I try not to oversaturate the colors. But also noticed that they look different on different monitors. Not going to worry too much about it. .
Thanks for sharing, great places and great photography. Even though you're not sure about the focal length, you handled extremely well.
I think they are wonderful and you have a great, great eye. I've visited both countries and your pictures are very faithful to the atmosphere there. The soccer field is brilliant.
yohan amazing photos, a beautiful place to visit, that envy to see live FC Barcelona , is one of my dreams , if I could have the 24mm would be even more happy
That was no ordinary match, that's for sure. It was El Clasico. I was in such disbelief! I would give a 24mm to watch El Clasico once again.
Wow, I don't know how I missed this the first go around, stunning shots. Thanks watchman for digging this one out.
