hi is it just me or does the air commander from Nissin use up battery at a alarming rate?
I have found that if the display starts to flikker the batteries need changing as there is no battery indicator, this is the only indication something is going wrong.
I see to be lucky if I get 50!flashes out of a pair of batteries

50 flash activations only? Wow, that sounds very low...
What kind of batteries do you use btw?

If it uses AA go and get Eneloop or better Eneloop Extreme.

Others are having same issue with both Air Commander and even with DI700A

Maybe inquire about it at Nissin or your local distributor

I know its not a solution per se but maybe the extra battery cartidge from Nissin (cheap too) would make sense?

the commander use AAA batteries the speed light uses AA, I don't have a problem with the light battery consumption, its very slow to recharge on full power but just off that its pretty instant,
