A few from my wanderings over the past couple of days, taken at 24mm and 35mm. Haven't had time to do anything with the RAW files; these are just JPEGs from the camera. No complaints here. I'm going to try to wrangle some time to get some close focus pics with the lens this week. As you can see from the pic of the Hickory tree, our Autumn colors are fading rapidly. Just two days ago, that tree was glowing bright gold.

Thanks Nick. My use of it has been limited so far, but I have noticed focus peaking works well even in low light. I've had other lenses where the contrast wasn't enough in low light for the Nex to focus very well. The zoom ring on mine is stiff, but that seems to be deliberate, to prevent zoom creep. The focus takes little movement to go from one end to the other. I need to do a proper comparison between the MD 28/2.8 and the 24-35 set at 28mm. At first look, the colors on the 24-35mm seem to be less saturated, which for many is just a matter of personal taste. I do think faded colors are better in some compositions.

Just won an ebay auction for this lens.
Can't wait to receive it and try it (its coming from the Netherlands) - maybe that will boost my interest in going out and shoot something again...

My 24-35mm was set at 24mm at f8 for this image. The lone female rower obligingly arrived just at the right moment for me to get a few shots with her included.

This lens was one of my favorite MD's on the Nex-6 (along with the MD 50 1.4). Tried it today on the new A7 of mine and the distortion is very noticeable!!!

Have you checked to see if it's one of the legacy lenses that has a profile in the latest Lightroom update?

And that's some beautiful light in that image!
