Minolta made a lot of variations of the 135mm lens throughout the years...

According to the database (link below)
    Minolta Manual Lens List

there are at least 3 variations of this (see #s 185, 186, 188)

Well, I just bought one from ebay :D
The only pic of the lens that the seller provided shows "MINOLTA MD TELE ROKKOR"

My question is how can I know which variation I bought?
I know that probably differences between the 3 are minimal (please confirm if you know more) but if you notice, the major differences are regarding weight (2/3 are 410-420grams and the other 265grams), length (2/3 are 87-88,5mm and the other 72,5mm) and the fact that 2/3 take have a 55mm filter while the other a 49mm filter thread...

    TIA

Minolta SR mount other lenses, Rokkor or plain MD

Toward the bottom the 135's are arranged with photos. This might help a bit. There will be a few things that can help narrow it down as well. Thread size (49 or 55mm), and if it has a built-in hood. Optically there appear to be two versions one 4 elements in 4 groups and one 5 elements in 5 groups.

    Good luck.

    Thanks!!!

Based on those photos I think mine is the 1979 (3rd) version, the one with the 5/5 elements/groups and the lighter model (which is VERY important to me) ;)

    Again, appreciate it
