The 50mm Minolta is a very popular lens, with many posts.

Do a search and you will find all you desire.

You won't have any electronic functions as the lens is a static lens.

No, the LAEA2 is for the later Minolta AF (auto focus) lenses. The older Rokkors were manual focus and used a different mount. This older lens came in many variations through out the years. MC Rokkor, MD Rokkor, MD Rokkor X, MD...its a very well refined standard 50mm lens from one of the great manufactures. As long as you dont have a dog it is capable of taking world class photos.

It was (and still is) one of my favorite lenses. But I tried the earlier MC Rokkor PF 55/1.7 and that little gem quickly replaced it as my favorite Minolta lens. Its a slightly different optical formula and the coatings arent quite advanced as the later one but these are minor differences. What I really love is the all metal body with the older Takumar style milled aluminum focusing ring. Truly sweet lenses these old Minolta standard primes. You cant go wrong with any of them.

A basic MD to NEX adapter, readily available from the auction site for little money. Literally just do a search on ebay for MD to NEX and you will get plenty of hits.

As stated, simply do an EBay search. Plenty to choose from.
