Nice couple of lenses. Biggest thing I noticed was the background items were more distinct with the Rokkor and you got a wider lens with the Zeiis.
I was wondering why you shot these at f/11, as the SEL24F18Z is sharpest across the frame at f/4 - f/5.6. But at this image size, it's really not possible to draw any real conclusions about the relative merits of these two lenses, is there?
Look here http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157636370027475/ for full res pics taken at 1,7 / 2,8/ 5,6 / 11 and 16,22 ( the zeiss goes to F22 the Rokkor only to F16 I also compared this same lens without Lens Turbo to the SEL35, and even though the old clunker is softer at wider apertures, it does hold its own at "Landscape apertures" The only i forgot to set before shooting these was to put AWB to Daylight to show any colorcast. The camera adjusted the colors to 6700°˚ with the lens Turbo and to about 6000°K with the Sony SEL lenses The other thing to look for: With the lens Turbo at F16, i start seeing purple in the center of the picture ( Sensor reflections)
I think, if you don't look too closely, the Rokkor shot is nicer? Nicer colours Do you get any noticable improvement in contrast, using the lens turbo vs a dumb adapter?
