Minolta MC 55mm f1.9 PF

    This lens I believe was sold only as a kit with the Minolta SRT100 body. My wife bought this outfit in NYC back in 1972, but rarely used it. The lens is in pristine condition. Roll forward to 2016, and for $8 I get an adapter, and shoot this (ISO 200, f8, hand held) with my A7R. No flat field filter, no distortion corrections.

    Still missing in my collection, that one. Can't really say why I like this picture, must be something like the tranquil composition and the colors.

    Ad, thanks. One curious feature of this lens is that the distance scale is in feet only, no metric. Maybe they sold this lens only in USA?

    Just for comparison, here is the same scene from a few days earlier shot with the Batis 85. Pretty much same post processing as the Minolta shot above

    You're probably right. Dennis Lohmann's list also states that it doesn't have a metric distance scale. That explains why I've never seen it offered in Europe so far.
