Can't find much info about this lens being used to the nex, is it a good lens? Can it be used with the a to e mount adapter? How much would you pay for an excellent condition of the lens? Thanks guys!!

I use the AF 50/1.7 and it is a great lens, with much of the DNA from the older Rokkor 50/1.7. Im sure the 1.4 is probably the same. Try here http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/Minolta-AF-50mm-F1.4_lens15.html

Click on the little part that says 'Reviews' right above the pictures of the lens and read what people have to say about it. Dyxum is a great reference for anything that fits the Minolta/Sony A mount.

The easiest way to use it is with an LAEA1 or LAEA2 adapter. These give full aperture control, exif data and varying degrees of auto focus (the 2 is better). But you can also use a 'dumb' adapter and manual focus it. The dumb adapters are cheaper.
