Showcase Minolta 28mm f/2.8 MD

The sun has decided to not come out and play this morning, but I still wanted to see how my new Minolta 28/2.8 fared. I'm pretty pleased with the early results, considering the dull, gray conditions. The photos were a bit flat right out of the camera, so I did tweak them slightly for contrast and saturation. It will be interesting to see what this lens can do under adequate light. When I get the time, I plan to do a direct comparison between the Minolta 28/2.8 and my Vivitar 28/2.8 Close Focus and 28/2.8 Wide Angle. That will probably take me a few days, though.

Nice - I don't do much wide angle work (that's why my widest lens is an 35mm) but I'm tempted to try the MD 28 2.8 myself...

good shots Tony, is my preferred focal length, but sometimes I feel this very open, that's why i jump in 35mm, but still prefer than the 19/16mm.

Thanks Freddy. I agree, different focal lengths evoke different feelings, which is why I carry a 28mm, 50mm, and 135mm with me as much as possible.

Taken on a clear, cobalt blue afternoon. Color and clarity from this little lens are excellent. I did nothing to enhance the colors.

These were shot with my Sony NEX-6. This is a wonderful old lens. Works great on the NEX-6.
