This is a recent acquisition (it's the 4 elements in 4 groups version). Not too bad considering it was handheld in fading light and shot wide open.

Thanks Nick, I'm really pleased with the lens. I've never been a huge fan of using a 135 on my NEX but this lens definitely made an impression on me.

That's some great light you captured in that first one, Steve.

Thanks. Sometimes you get lucky. Going to be there today during the eclipse (only partial this far north) to see what the light is like then.

I will, Mus. But the post-eclipse traffic here in Oregon was insane, and I didn't get home until late last night. Haven't even had the chance to pop the SD card out of the camera yet.

Four shots from this morning's constitutional. A7II with, of course, the Minolta MD Tele Rokkor 2.8/135. I am beginning to really love this lens.
    2017-08-27 Stage Deer 01 A7II Rokkor 135-28 8x10.
    2017-08-27 Stage Deer 02 A7II Rokkor 135-28 8x10.
    2017-08-27 Stage Deer 03 A7II Rokkor 135-28 8x10.
    2017-08-27 Stage Deer 04 A7II Rokkor 135-28 8x10.

My A6500 became a casualty yesterday (nothing serious but something caught the edge of the tempered glass screen protector) and is laid up until Tuesday when Amazon delivers the replacement. I was worried that a 135mm wouldn't have enough range on a full frame body. I shouldn't have been.

I do love legacy 135mm F2.8 lenses, often wrongly neglected because of the 'slow' aperture but just as sharp as as the faster modern versions and IMO wonderful bokeh or whatever you want to call it. Not getting a legacy 135mm seems a bit silly when you have the perfect body (A7) to exploit it.
