Last weekend I attended a family party, a Mariachi showed up and I happened to be around with my camera with Rokkor 50mm f1.7 mounted. Snaped into BW mode and took a few shots.

These folks are working, but they showed a "I really have a good time working" face every now and then:

Grainy as it was quite dim, plus the rokkor 1.7 is somewhat soft wide open, but nevertheless, captured the moment I was seeing.

Very nice. Would have liked to see the exposure bump up a little. Great expressions on them though!

Thanks, yeah.... seems the tequila exposure compensation I was running on wasn't quite compatible with the camera.

Hm. I've got to investigate that method sometime. Alpha & AƱejo... What could possibly go wrong? :D

Looks like a great time. And I bet you could bump those up a little without making them too noisy. Besides, in b&w, a little noise often adds "character."
