I finally had the chance to wander around with the A7, SEL2470Z and a couple of Fotodiox Pro 10mm and 16mm macro extension tubes. There's quite a bit of vignetting that has to be cropped out when using both tubes, and macro photography is terra incognita to me right now, so I don't know how much use they're going to get. But they don't take up much space in my camera bag, so...

I didn't know there were extension tubes available for FE lenses until I saw this thread.
I'll have to see about getting one or two.

I like the ability to reduce minimum focus distance with an extension tube.

    Thanks for making me aware.

Extension tubes are just tubes and work similarly in APS-C and FF. The problem is E-mount, it is quite narrow. It is worth having extension tubes even if you have macro lenses, they don't weight much and are inexpensive.

I just posted a thread about the Fotodiox tubes.
I'd forgotten where I learned about them. Now I remember. :)
Arrived today. They will be handy. Was a little disappointed that they are plastic. But should be fine for casual use.
