i was not aware leica made slr lenses in m42 mount. i believe this may be a visoflex lens. do you have any information in this regard? also, may i ask about how you might know the lens is 'sharp' when it seems youre not 100% certain of its mount? have you used the lens?

    looking forward to learning more.
    thank you

the reason i know its sharp is that i used a techniuqe called "lens wacking" and took some shoots and they were reaally sharp

Answer to the first question is that usually the lens end were mine starts with the long metal tube, the reason i think that it is M42 is that when i lens wack it with my nikon adapter i can get really close to infinity focus which makes sense because the m42 mount has a little bit shorter flange distance than nikon resulting in the lens focus range being shifted to close focus with a nikon adapter.
At least thats what i think.

if its m42, then the lens has been modified from visoflex.

    never heard of 'lens whacking'.
