A 6000 Just wondering if there are any other lenses that will fit staright onto an A6000 , or do they all need an adapter? Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum. :)

Any E mount lens will work on the A6000.

Wow, I had no idea there were that many.

Many are the same, just a choice of black or silver, so that cuts the options down a bit, but still . . . I remember back when I bought my original 3, there were only two.

The a6000 is an e-mount camera, so all lenses made for other cameras require and adapter. Minolta lenses may work with a-mount SLR sony cameras. That may be what you are thinking about.
The a6000 is essentially a NEX Camera. For some reason Sony decided to confuse things and drop the NEX moniker and call both e-mount and a-mount cameras alpha + number.

Adapters are cheap, so if you already have legacy lenses, it's totally worth it. If you don't have any, I'd recommend to first look at the awesome E-Mount lens line-up. Those are all modern, compact AF lenses which are, for the most part, of a pretty high quality.

    Actually it probably is.

I just recently purchased a Canon FD/Nex adapter and a Nikon MF/Nex as well from a trusted eBay seller. They were less than $15 USD each and they are fantastic.

I plan on purchasing a Minolta MD/Nex soon.

As for M42 Pentax mount lenses I use my Sony EA2 adapter and existing A mount adapter rings to attach those. Of course the EA2 opens up the entire vintage Maxxum lineup for you with fully functioning AF.

You can see my kit listed below and except for the SEL 16-50 it is all accessed brilliantly by the Sony EA2.

    Happy shooting!

The Minolta lenses that I have are a 50mm and a 28mm manual focus and also a Samsung nx 20mm just wonering if these were worth getting adapters for.
