...in the 5N v1.01 firmware's crappy +/-0.3EV setting
Just updated to v1.02 today!
Yeah, the up to ± 3 EV is pretty nice. This shot is decent, maybe needs a bit of shadow recovery, but it's hard to say what the scene looked like since I wasn't there.
Looks good but I'm on my tablet so its pretty small. I love HDR especially when its done kinda low key and not super over the top, thought I like some of that stuff too.
Thanks, the park was in the shadow of a row of apartments behind me while the setting sun was pointed directly on the apartments in the background, and then you can see yourself that the part shaded by trees was almost midnight black. Can't wait to try this shot again (when I get the chance!) with greater HDR
Apart from that I think +-0.3 was enough for this scene, the 5N could also do +-0.7 before the update.
