Does using LAEA2 have any impact on IQ (sharpness, contrast etc.) ?

Also, is it fast enough to track e.g. running kids in low light with a reasonably fast A-mount lens ?

No, it shouldn't have any negative impact. At least I don't know of any visible impact in the SLT cameras. You'll loose 1/3 of a stop light though.

The technology used in the LA-EA2 is exactly the same as in the A65 - same mirror, same AF module, so it should be quite fast. At least when using a SSM lens with a relatively big aperture in low light.
