I bought a used SAL1650 from B&H and it came yesterday. Been testing it and was so disappointed at how soft the left side of the image was. It's a great lens and it's very very sharp overall except the left side which is soft and looks smeared. I also get very heavy vignetting throughout the zoom range wide open and even at f6.3. After that it's not too bad. I guess I had a pretty bad copy of the lens, going to send it back to B&H =/ Anyone with this lens have the same problem?

Thankfully there was a local store that had a used one for sale so I went to check it out today. Took some test shots and was happy to see the IQ is super sharp throughout the whole image. Going to use this setup for sports and might eventually get a longer zoom lens for it too.

Camera's not as portable now lol
