Adapter arrived couple days ago, finally had time to play around. I like this Konica lens on my NEX so far. Not too bulky, fairly easy to manipulate, but focusing is tricky. I took a few test shots, I post them later.

Envy. I've been lurking KEH for over a month waiting for this lens to get back in stock, when my persistence paid off and was able to snatch one in EX+ condition 3 days ago.

Looking forward to your sample shots.

Took a bunch last night, but most were out of focus. Getting the focus perfect is difficult, need to figure out a trick.

Never heard of KEH, just looked them up. I know where I will be spending some of my money in the near future.

Wide open on this lens is very tough as it is low contrast so peaking does not work well. Try setting it to 2.8 or in between 1.8 and 2.8 (no click but you can do it). This will boost contrast and help peaking. If you shoot raw, you can set your EC to +0.3 OR +0.7. It might give you a little bit more contrast in some cases to help with peaking. You can dial the exposure back in post.

I'm on my second Konica -> E-mount adapter, the first one didn't allow infinity focus if only just. Took this lens out today and made quite some shots with it, all at f/8 to get good sharpness across the frame. Didn't make any real stunners but I'm happy with what the lens delivers.

Thanks guys. Not sure why, but I like this lens at wide open, how everything in the background melts away

These shots look like you got the focus right on.

    Well done

    Nice.

What are the trees along the path? Not familiar with those.

Thanks. What trees those are? I have absolutely no idea, there were quite some exquisite gardens along that side of the road so it may well be an unusual species; that said, I'm only able to identify 5 tree types and even those I'm not sure of. Maybe we could call TTTDST to help (Tony Turley's Tree Definition Support Team)?

Glad someone else knew the answer. That one fell into my "huh?" category.

No doubt that this is a highly capable landscape lens. The detail it reproduces is amazing for a lens of its era.
