this 28mm/3.5 is a good choice for crop sensors, because it's sharp, relatively cheap, and it has six aperture leaves, for better bokeh.
on the a7R full frame sensor, tho, it has noticeable vignetting wide open, as you can see below.
by comparison, the pentax-m 28mm/3.5 doesn't vignette as much, and it's plenty sharp, but it only has five aperture leaves, so on rare occasions the bokeh can get downright scary, lol... you can see the weird bokeh in the cactus pic at this link... i've only seen it do that weird bokeh once, but it's kind of made me nervous about using the lens:
