Showcase Kiron 28–105mm 1:3.2–4.5 varifocal

    I think that lens is still quite good. Above photos are unprocessed. I have wanted a Kiron varifocal lens for a long time but they are not easy to come by (Vivitar models are much more common). Interesting lens but heavy, suffers from zoom creep (or varifocal creep as this lens is not a zoom) and is difficult to handle. Won't see much use despite its very handy focal length.

    Interesting results. I was hoping this lens will be sharp across the range. I found one recently in MD mount and it looks to be in great shape. Awaiting an adapter to try it.

    There is another one for sale from Alaska with Nikon mount on ebay for those seeking one.

    I will update with test photos asap.
