Found a Kenlock mc-tor 28-85mm 1:3.5 lense in a charity shop. It looks to be in mint condition, no fungus or spots. Does anyone know anything about such a lense? I have googled it, but all I have found is info on a different, automatic lense. I can get it for ca. 6 pounds - do you think it is worth it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Ya, never heard of it.

    However, can't beat the price.

The price is right, you don't lose much if you don't like it. However, I don't think I'd invest in an adapter specifically for this lens.

Tested the lens, it seems fine. However, was busy at work, so all these photos were taken through a dirty window. What do you think, a keeper or rubbish?

That lens looks quite good to me, although full-size samples would be needed for a definitive judgement. It's sharp and contrast seems OK. On another note, your sensor has some dust specks: in the upper left part of the first two pics there are spots and lint in exactly the same places.

Thanks! Will take a look st the sensor, it might be indeed in need of a cleaning! As for full size, I think that can be found at flickr.

Not that I really mind, but the maximum size I could find there was 2048 px at the long side, full size would be more than 4000 px (don't know the exact number for your camera).

Ah, of course - I do not have a premium account, so they don't show the original size. My apologies! Don't think I can upload and share original sized images, then :(

Agree that you found a nice lens. These images look fine over here.

The sensors are sooooo prone to debris. Gotta keep an eye on it.

Took the lens yesterday for a spin - it was too cloudy to see the sunset, but the clouds were nice. All of these were taken at 28mm and I think 3.5.

Still looking good! Edge sharpness suffers a bit, that's to be expected when using f/3.5. It's probably better at f/8, often the best aperture for maximum image quality in my case (NEX-6).

Hmm, I see, thank you! Will test that during the weekend, need to find a brick wall too...
