    Hi all

I've come across this lens while goofing around at Ebay (risky for my wallet I know)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/35mm-F1-7-1...y-NEX-mount-/151421904059?hash=item234172e4bb

Not much info on the net, this review came up

    http://timkwokphoto.tumblr.com/post/119697178376/kaxinda-35mm-f17-mark-3

    Using an a5100 I think

Here is some more footage with a Fuji X-M1

Seems interesting, the results with the Fuji seem great, but I am thinking if this a fancied up CCTV lens, the finishings seems a lot better (and having a white 5R, really like the looks of the white a5100).

Anybody has it by any chance?

    Thanks!

It doesn't seem to be a CCTV lens cosmetically as it has got a nice focusing and aperture rings. Optics may come from a originally CCTV lens but I doubt it as it has 6 lenses in 5 groups and filter diameter is 49mm. Interesting lens anyway. Maybe it is a Chinese copy of a old SLR lens.

I may be wrong, but in those shots made with the Fuji X-M1, you can see that this lens can be relatively sharp at the edges, which is something a CCTV lens like the Fujian 35mm f/1.7 would never be, even stopped down.

    Nice find. Thanks for sharing.

Nice find! Not suitable or full-frame apparently and the aperture ring is stepless which I find very uncomfortable because I always stop down a legacy lens by counting clicks. But still, hard to ignore at that price. The eBay text is a joy to read in its own right: "screwing the focusing ring" :)

Yeah, seems it's aps c only.

The Fuji tests seem great across the frame, agreed. Googling some more, folks at other mirrorless systems have my same concern from it being a pretty cctv, somebody suggested Kaxinda tried a Voigtländer clone (take that with a grain of salt).

Found more pics with an XE 1-

    Not bad at all!

There seems to rather small exit hole in that lens. Don't know if that can be enlarged.

    Geez... look at the dates

Anyway, found a flickr group about this lens

    Kaxinda 35mm f/1.7

Seems okai to me on the outputs, apparently somewhat soft wide open as to be expected.
