In case anyone is interested. It's really a nice lens.

Great review and photos, Jordan. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy that lens, although I'm always torn between 85, 100, and 135mm lenses. In the long run, I only need one in that range.

Sony 135mm 1.8 is an excellent portrait lens with 2.36'~72cm mfd, but it is screw mount af and over 2 pounds close to 1kg plus the adapter. It balances very well, but heavy combination... I don't know if they can adapt that into FE mount unless they go with f2.8 lens and make it smaller/lighter... Batis 85mm is similar size/weight to Fuji/Pana 1.2 options with full frame coverage... They could have made 85mm smaller w/o lens IS but most probably was designed before Sony IBIS, eg early test shots were from last winter... 85mm with apsc crop has 135mm 2.8 equivalence also...
