Years ago I acquired several Russian cameras, including a couple of Kiev range-finders that were actually relabeled Contax cameras, built by Contax technicians using Contax tooling, thanks to Russian "war reparations" that moved the factory and staff from Germany to Ukraine after the war. I've been looking for an adapter that would let me take those lenses off the shelf and use them on my NEX-6. Until recently I have not seen an adapter for the "Contax internal mount" lenses that appealed to me, but when I saw the Amedeo Contax R/F to NEX adapter sold by Stephen Gandy's Cameraquest store I decided to take the plunge. Here is one of the images taken by my NEX-6 using that adapter and a Kiev Jupiter-3 lens, which is a 50mm f:1.5 Sonnar lens in Contax mount. Taken at f:4.0, shutter speed 1/100 second, and ISO 400.
