Received a JJC LCD hood screen protector for my Nex-5 today (which is the correct item) and it doesn't securily clip into place :?
I also have installed an original Sony PCK-LM1EA semi hard lcd protect sheet - do you think the thickness of the sony sheet interferes with the JJC hood?
    Anyone ever experience this?

Indeed...have the same issue. But as I use it only in some very sunny occasion it don't really bother me.
I am better thinking abouy getting the EVF..

So, do you leave on the Sony semi-hard sheet AND the JJC hood at the same time???

Yeah, no option for the EVF on the 1st gen Nex-5 :(

No. Only put the hood whenever needed e.g critical light situation otherwise it bothers me.

Yeah, but what about the semi-hard sheet which is always on ie. not removable? Do you leave the JJC hood on without completely securing???

Yes. It stays more or less in place. I mean, I put it on, shoot, and take
it off even if not completely/securely tied.

I swapped out the hard screen protector for a soft one, works perfectly now. I saw no reason to keep the hard one since the LCD hood's protection was good enough.
Also, a good tip is to duct tape the bottom of the hood and screen together. Mines kept falling off. :l
