Last year we took a trip to Myanmar. I've heard so many things in the news about it that I wanted to see what was going on.

We got on a train at 5 am from Mandalay and got to Hsipaw around 1 pm. It was a very slow train. WE could have taken a bus and it would have taken 3 hours. However, when in a country like this, you want to see and take in the landscape and see the different background every area has.

Excellent shots of a cultural journey. No. 3, the train on the trestle, and soldier in flip flops, grabbed me.

It's one of my favorites too. I have another shot where the background is cleared, but she's not looking at me, but I always go back to this one.

Great travel photography draws me like a moth to a flame. And you just singed my wings, Rob. :2thumbs:
Haha. Thanks! It's a magical place. If you get a chance to make it there, I'd suggest you go.

Thank you for showing us this part of the world. We always like train travel too. You get to see so much more of a country this way. I like the feet hanging out of the train.... and of course the dogs:)

3 things, as a viewer, stood out for me....

1...The adult with a medical mask and the child with none.

2...The soldier with his combat flip-flops.

3...And, I'd have to be sure to use the bathroom before crossing that bridge.

Nice work.

Yeah, the soldier in flip-flops took me by surprise too.

Really love the one with the boys feeding the dogs. I have never been to this area but I have been close by. There is so much beauty to see, it is amazing. You did a fantastic job capturing it on camera!

To us, it's the best way to travel a country. You get to see so much of a country that gets missed by taking a car or plane.
