The log cabin (the camera held out the car window at about 20 mph and snapped at 1/8000, f/4, ISO6400):

The automated panorama (the camera was in full control - I don't know what else to say):

The afternoon jazz festival (detailed shot at about 6:30 PM):

Hi Tom, I suspect the lack of replies may have to do with some of our computers giving up / passing out at the size of these images

Like the panoramas. I have to say that the first one @ ISO 6400 shows more noise than I expected.

I hope I've not caused any problem or upset anyone. Wasn't this the purpose of this sub forum?

Me too, but you should have seen how dark the original was. I cranked up the exposure two full stops - I still haven't figured out why I had to do that!

It looked like a picture that was under exposed and then cranked up, but I thought otherwise when I saw the settings. The camera must have screwed up the exposure.

Well, that explains it. Equivalent of ISO 25,600 right?

No, I didn't mean to suggest that. I think it's good to have a place to share big pics, but it seems that a lot of computers and connections don't work with them if they exceed a certain size. Just a trade off. But now there are more replies, so looks like I was wrong anyways... Past couple days my home internet was on the fritz, so I was effectively on a low bandwidth connection.

not having an issue with loading. A bit slower but worth the extra seconds.

Yeah, that sounds about right. So what would have caused that? Is there a setting that limits the auto ISO? I know there is such a thing in the Nikons, but I don't think I've ever used it. I'll have to investigate that.

Ha! The Auto ISO was set to a range of 100 - 6400. Thanks for your help guys. There's a lot to learn with this camera!
