I need a Sony LA-EA5

    With the earlier A7x cameras:

LA-EA3 gave us EXIF data and bad AF with some lenses and no AF with lenses without motors
LA-EA4 gave us EXIF data, decent AF with all lenses, and a loss of light.

Now the A7rII gives me great AF with the LA-EA3 for lenses with built in motors, but if I want to us a screwdrive lens, I still need LA-EA4.

How about an LA-EA5 that's basically the LA-EA3+screwdrive? It's really the only think that's holding me back from the ZA 135mm f1.8 (well, that and the completely decimated photography budget).

Good idea! I was thinking the same thing for those of us who might have a minolta Beercan floating around and are hoping that the A7iii or A7Sii will be BSI with PDAF.

Beercan is cheaper then Sony adapters... LA-EA4 is still better to focus then LA-EA3 with the Tamron 28-300mm pzd... LA-EA3 hunts more... Fastest af is with Sony 55-210mm with no baffle...
