Hardware junky. I get great pleasure in just being able to take a decent picture of my cameras. Spent most of my life helping put together some of the world's most sophisticated satellites and really like a well designed/engineered piece of hardware. Looking back at the state of the art of manufacturing back in the 1930's, it really impresses me seeing how a camera like this one is built.

They had no computer aided anything be it design or machine or assembly. Having worked as a machinist, I'm amazed at some of the precision parts on this camera.
Does anyone else feel the same, or is it just me?

I agree, and not only cameras but other especially mechanical things (timepieces come to mind). Some of the past craftsmanship and accuracy is simply amazing.

I could be wrong, but I suspect our cameras will likely not last near as long or be nearly as usable 80 years down the road.
